Flower girls first duties

My cousin is getting married this summer and asked xandra to be a flowergirl. We got her dress today and she is already loving the wedding party thing. She really had to have slippers to go with the dress and was already asking me to do her hair"in a bow". I can't wait to see her walk down the isle. I hope I don't cry too much.

Trip to College Station

Friday we had a really nice trip to visit friends in College Station. My friend's little boy was so sweet how he played with Alexandra! She had a wonderful time. And so did I! I wish I could have stayed longer and driven by somethings, visited old parks and restaurants. Man, I miss it there. I spent the majority of my adult life there. It feels like home. It brings back so many happy memories. My friends were so gracious so host me, even though I don't get to see them often. I got to visit Familia, our group at St. Thomas Aquinas too. Im so glad that even though we live in Austin we can keep in touch with all our good friends there in College Station.
When we got home, we got me a new free phone (a MyTouch which I love!) and they had oreos. Guess who had her first oreo (to my knowledge). Apparently Hannah loves them! SHe did not like getting cleaned up though.
We had a lovely weekend too. We had lunch at Chuys with my mom and brother Andrew and his girlfriend Saturday, then Mom took the kids and David and I had a dinner party with out good friends to celebrate Valentines day. We made grilled flank steak with chimichurri salsa (which I looove) and our friend Morgan made an incredible cake. Pics from that event are on FB. I think that link should work as long as you are my "friend". Then Sunday it was sunny and cool. We went to Mighty FIne and Xandra played on the play scape for a while. David took her to see Nomeo and Juliet, which was a fun Daddy date (and I got to work on my scrapbook and watch Grey's :))
All in all it was a great weekend. In my heart I couldn't help missing Samantha and wishing she was here to enjoy it with us. I have been reading my blog entries from last year at this time. She was just starting to drink milk again and recovering from her surgery. It feel weird knowing that in just 26 days she will die. At the time I thought she would be coming home in a few weeks. But it is wonderful to remember the sweet moments I spent in the NICU with her cuddling.
Well, Hannah just woke up. Gotta go. Hannah's party pictures are coming soon :)
