Two lovely weekends

Apparently the program I wasusing on my phone on the train wasnt working very well.  That is a good way to make sure I post something though :). 
This picture is from March 12, 2011.  Exactly one year since Samantha passed away.  It was so nice to have our immediate families both there to mourn and remember with us.  It was a beautiful day and I cried for my precious girl and enjoyed remembering and talking about all the wonderful things I got to do with her when she was here with us.  I still love her more than I can say.  I miss her everyday.  We are doing our best to honor her as a part of our family.  We went to mass together and then had a lovely dinner at Might Fine together.  We are so blessed to have such a supportive and loving family.

 

Last week we created a garden in our backyard with a little help from Grandmommy and Grandad.  We have been watering it everyday, but since none of us have any experience at all with gardening, I am cautiously optimistic about the expectation of actual production.  It was fun though and we planted some flowers too.

Hannah is walking like crazy and living every second.  What actually inspired me to sit down and post this morning was her consumption of blueberries.  We have Blueberry Monster II !  She doesn't like it (throws a fit!) when I tell her that's enough.  Also she now has 4 teeth on top!  I have been trying to get a good picture of that toothy grin but as soon as I pull out a camera or phone, she stops!  I'll keep trying.  She is signing more and more.  SHe signs milk more, please, all done and I have seen her imitate the signs for dog, (though she usually just says woof woof) fan, light, and ball. Genius baby :).

Hannah is walking

T shirts say Little Sister and Big Sister

I should have posted weeks ago that Hannah had taken her first steps.  She has been taking more and more steps and now... she is walking!  She is saying lot's of words too.  Cracker, Mommy, Daddy, woof woof, quack.  And she signs milk, more, please, and all done.  When she feels like it of course :) Hannah is in Kindermusik with Mommy, where she really loves to show off.  She gets to play with other babies, play with bells, scarves, dance around and makes eyes at that adorable baby in the giant mirror.  She really does bloom in Kindermusik. And as you can see Hannah is coming into her own physically and verbally.

I will probably post tomorrow too, but I just wanted to mention, that tomorrow is the anniversary of the day Samantha died.  I have been holding her close to my heart and remembering every sweet moment I got with her.  We will be spending time with our immediate families, remembering her and celebrating her beautiful life.
